yes, it's part of the same series. gabriel, i believe was written out because walken was not interested in returning. i think it's better that they move in a different direction than try to replace him. the cast, as they have it now, though features some horror all-stars. looking forward to it.

Yes, it supposedly is. But so far, all leaked details make it seem as "great" a sequel as e.g. "Batman & Robin". And Kari Wuhrer's name in a horror sequel is usually an alarm bell yelling: "Warning! Warning! Bad cheap unnecessary sequel incoming! Bail out!"...

There shouldn't be a sequel. Don't get me wrong, I loved all three of the prophecy movies, but I can't bare to see it continue. It ended. It should remain ended, and if Christopher Walken isn't in it then it should deffinately remain ended. I really can't see how they make a sequel to the third which really brought the series to an...end.

There's actually 2 sequels coming out sometime next year. They were filmed back to back and I believe that the fourth is called Uprising and the fifth is called Forsaken. I resently bought the original trilogy and once I heard about the 2 follow up sequels I actually got excited because this trilogy is not well known so anything that brings attention to these first three great films is a good thing. Part 3 wasn't the best of the series but anything that comes close to it will actually be welcomed by me. I can't wait for these two films.

And if anyone has watched the original series they will know that it contained no mention of a 'Lexicon'. It involves an ancient text that ex-priest, police officer, Thomas Daggett, begins to transcribe. That series ended with the end of the 'war in heaven'. Gabriel, who was made human in the second movie of the series, becomes an angel again in the third, and is welcomed back in Heaven.
