At a funeral in The Last Witness, a poem is being read out loud. Does anybody know who wrote this poem?

I´m making this inquiry on behalf of my mother - any help would be appreciated :-)

If you are referring to the Bosnian girls'funeral (I don't think there is another one in that film) the subtitled version which I just watched says it's an excerpt from the Koran.

isn't it the equvalent to the service for the dead from say the book of common prayer
