Making Metal Gear Solid eh? Here's a little advise: MAKE IT RATED R!

I don't care how "financially" well it does, if it was Rated R it would be a LOT better, not to mention how much they would be allowed to get away with. But the studios are going to screw it over into some PG-13 garbage where Snake will have to fight the Terrorists with a water pistol.

I wanted to be the first kid on my block with a confirmed kill!

absolutely.
when was the last last time we saw a good r-rated action movie?

the friggin game isn't exactly aimed for children anyway.
it MUST BE R!

I think they were trying to ge to a wider demographic. What would you really want to add with an R (I think it's M or AO with video games) rating anyway? Would a lot of curse words really improve the game, or do you just want to see some computer animated girl showing her breasts? I really think it's fine the way it is, and they take advantage of the rating they have (they don't have blood censors, there's subtle sexual innuendo, etc). So what is it about a higher rating that you think would make the game better?

Well, the legal age for watching R movies and playing M games is the same, so I suppose it's only logical...

I guess but really, the original Metal Gear Solid is kinda pg-13ish anyways. There's some sexual innuendo but hardly. The Gray Fox parts might give it an R but Hideo Kojima himself said "Violenc doesn't make a game. Stealth does" (along the lines). If they were to make a MGS movie based off #3 then i would see an R rating.
