morally bankrupt (spoiler)

Julian kills people, strangers, for a living. He draws in Danny, turns him into a willing accomplice. Danny hires Julian to kill his competition. In the end, Julian kills his boss, whoever that is, and somehow gets to be a hero and go live in Greece. Sick Sick Sick. In the end, Danny and his wife are the grave of their child. How touching. What about all the people Julian killed? What about the guy Danny had killed by Julian??? He has a family too. What a bunch of slim balls.

Life is for lovers, and lovers are for life.

Julian did not kill the guy Danny wished for him to kill. Julian talked Danny out of it at the end. Granted, I do agree that this movie had poor morals.

I wonder if that was really the meaning we were supposed to take from that scene.

It seemed much more likely that Julian *did* kill the target, just told Danny he wouldn't, so that Danny wouldn't have any legal consequences should things go wrong.

Then Danny later finds out that the guy is dead and so he definitely does get the business he was seeking.

Then Julian comes to Denver claiming Danny owes him a favor.

Does it all fit together logically?

Here's someone who needs everything explained to him like a child.

Julian convinced Danny that he didn't need his rival killed. Danny helped him because they actually were friends after that, not because Julian murdered someone for him.

Not to mention, in the end they kill the guy who hires people like Julian to kill people. Are you really angry about that?
