did julian wanted to sleep with danny?

from the suspense to what happen to the hotel room, to him keep on going back to danny, seems like there was a homosexual subplot.

thoughts?

Thoughts? You're an idiot.

There's what I think.

reply

No, he's not an idiot. Julian did and said several things that made you think he might swing both ways. I know I certainly wouldn't have felt comfortable drinking around him.

Gotta agree with @afal . Julian exuded a kind of come-one-come-all attitude about sex. Just another example of the superb job that Brosnan did with this role.

point proven to you I suppose from other users.

idiot @Elephantlips
. maybe you didn't understand the movie propley.

reply

I'm the idiot? First off, try spelling "propley" and forming a cohesive sentence prior to questioning anyone.

Second, tell me what I misunderstood about this supposed homosexual subplot and how it affected the movie.

Can't wait to hear this gem.

Best evidence that Julian has a wider sex preference is when he tells about his failed hit in Manila. Besides being seen with ladyboys, he also says "where the boys look like chicks" with such a joy.

The first time I saw the movie I was sure that the twist was that Julian and Danny had slept together. I wouldn't describe it as a homosexual subplot, but there's a definite undercurrent, which I'm not certain was intentional.

I think that the film's main determent is Julian's overt sexuality toward everyone, because for the second half of the film there is concern from the viewer that he will sleep with Bean and confusion over whether he has slept with Danny.

This is not a good thing because it drifts the viewer's perspective away from the straightforward comedy of the plot into a different area that, again, I don't think the filmmakers really intended.
