I've seen this film about three times. And now I looked this up from imdb and I was surprised by the low user rating of this film. Marie and Bruce is in my personal top 10 movies alongside Casablanca, Fight Club, Mulholland Dr., Dead Man, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Elephant Man, Taxi Driver, Groundhog Day and Garden State.

I actually don't know why I like it. the characters, all of them were annoyng. Marie was a wife you don't want to live with. and Bruce was a husband you don't want to live with. the were annoyng and at the same time they were so eccenntric and thats why I liked them. all the roles were acted out maybe too theatrical. I liked that also. and the story. actually they both were tired from each other but still there was love. then there were some syrrealistic events, like the dog and river and Bruce in the hotel. I just like it!
