Mr. Gorman died after the filming of "Kill the Poor". Unfortunately this film, in which I was proud to be cast (I played Attila), did not see the light of day until 2006. However it's delay gives us a chance to remember what a truly fine actor we lost.

Thanks for the compliment rubbish100. This was the most relaxed film experience for me. Every actor would be blessed to be directed by Alan Taylor and David Krumholtz is one of the warmest most generous actors with whom to work.

Nice Job Bro!
I actually have a friend named Attila in real life and its a pretty rare name here in the states ya know? I wanted to ask you why do you think the flick is rated so low? I havent seen it yet but from the few NY-ers I have asked about the flick they are thought it qwas a pretty decent flick so do you think it loses something maybe if your not one of us nostalgic NY-ers? : )

Thanks. Perhaps the low rating is because very few people had a chance to see this movie. It played in an art house for a very brief period. It deserves a wider audience. The theme should appeal to many urban dwellers through out the world, not just us NY-ers. However you do touch on something about us nostalgic NY-ers. I have a particular fondness for films set in New York.
...And Bringing the subject back to Cliff Gorman, Many of his best films take place in Gotham City: "The Boys in the Band", "An Unmarried Woman", "All That Jazz", "Night and the City", "Hoffa" and of course "Kill the Poor" come to mind.

I loved this movie! The first scene of the apartment being set on fire has a radio front and center. I had that radio. It was a JVC and that thing cranked! I bought it for $150 dollars with the first paycheck from my first job in computers. I just saw one on ebay for like $800, youch! I thought this movie really showed what NYC was like back in the day. All the drugs, crime, etc. But it also showed how committed people were to live there because it was so cheap. I love movies set in NYC, especially the vintage ones like "The French connection", "The Seven Ups" etc. People should see this movie, Great job by the way Victor.

Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
