I've been following this film since it was part of SF's Film Fest, but wasn't able to catch it then. Can anyone tell me how I can catch a screening?

It'll be a limited release later this year. I caught a screening in New York. Decent film but loses it's momentum during the final half hour. Still, it's a movie well worth seeing if you're in the mood for something different. Bill Plympton spoke before and after the film and he said it best: "This is not 'Shrek 2.'"

plympton films don't usually have wide releases. i have a feeling since hair high is done with its festival run, it might do a ny/la release before going to DVD

for those of you in Melbourne, Hair High will be playing in the Melbourne International Film Festival on the night of Friday 22nd July and again at 11am August 6th.

I saw it at the Cleveland International Film Festival last night.

I've heard many good things about plympton but had never seen for myself until last night...and...

i'm PRETTY sure i just developed a new addiction.

This movie is effing incredible and kept me laughing almost the whole time.

It's playing in New York City this week (Oct. 18-25) at the Pioneer Two Boots Theater.

Then it will play at the Alamo Theater in Austin (Nov. 5-6), the Nickelodeon in Santa Cruz, then in Tuscon and Salem OR. It's hitting indie theaters in various markets across the U.S.

If you live in the Boston area it's playing in Cambridge through the 7th of December at the Brattle Theatre. I saw it last night, funny stuff.
