'damn me' is repeated a 100 times
why? seemed to me as if it was used instead of "well..." just to start a sentence. is it a Slavic language thing?

shareactually it literally means - damn me, or maybe I will be damned
proklet - damned
I found it quite annoying too. I thought they could have just skipped it in the narration a few times.
shareI don't know. I know it seems overused, yet at the same time, we're hearing a deathbed confession for something the narrator feels immense guilt. It's probably said so often because the Lem has been saying it to himself his entire life.

It's in the book, too. And it's just as annoying there :) Still, it wouldn't be an adaptation of the book without every second sentence being "damn me".
Definitely not a Slavic language thing :)
Very annoying and silly, also the English narrator voice is very bad.
