Could someone tell me what happened after Ms. Bergen's character disabled the "detective" with a flare-type object and the young boy knocked him out?
Was the "detective" the only killer? Was the husband involved? Was the young boy really trying to help her? Did the dog get killed?
I would appreciate any information you can give me.
The same thing happened to me - perhaps the channel cut out?? We were watching the tape last night, and about 1/2 hour before it was over, it had stopped taping - how frustrating!!!!!!!!
shareNo, the channel didn't cut out. What happened was that the movie started a little later than it should have, that's why it finished later as well. I heard lots of people who had the same problem.

Fortunately, my friend taped the movie in its entirety and lent it to me. The villian was the "detective". He was hired by Daisy's husband, who wasn't where he said he was. (He was actually at a friend's house waiting for the call from the "detective" that the job was done.)
Daisy disabled the detective by throwing a flare at him. Then, she and the young boy tied him up and brought him into the house, where Daisy interrogated him for more information about his involvement in the crime. He admitted to being hired by Daisy's husband, who apparently wanted her dead for the money.
The husband came home hoping to find Daisy dead, but she, the "detective" and the young boy were there. Daisy threatened to shoot her husband if he didn't tell her the truth. During this time, the young boy set up a diversion with the stereo system to alert the husband's friend, whom he saw waiting outside
outside of the husband's car.
Daisy's husband admitted his involvement and, taking advantage of the stereo diversion, distracted Daisy, disarming her and taking her hostage. He ordered the young boy to turn off the stereo and get some bullets for the gun (which Daisy had not loaded). He then ordered the "detective" to kill Daisy, but he told him he'd have to do it himself.
Sometime during all of this, the husband let Daisy go, and was trying to decide what to do next -- and sometime during all of this, Daisy had inconspcuously dialed her husband's friend's cell phone, allowing him to hear the husband's entire confession.
The "detective" and the husband were taken away by the police, and Daisy left her home to go to a hotel. After she left the house, the scene turned to the stairway, where a man with a beard, looking uncannily like the "detective" looked toward the direction that Daisy was heading.
