She was right about shrinking TV shows...

...She talked about how shows are getting shorter and shorter, and how someday, a sitcom will just be a minute long or something. And, I hate to say it, but I think that day is fast approaching!

For ex. we now have short webisodes that can be just a few minutes long, and as far as traditional TV, there was a time, back in the 1950s, when a half-hour sitcom was really a half hour sitcom. And, over the years, a couple minutes have been shaved off, here n' there, to make room for commercials. And now, our half-hour sitcoms are down to just 20 minutes! And, that saddens me, because every time that happens, quality of story suffers too.

If the day comes when our sitcoms are less than 20 minutes, I will consider it the end of the art-form. Heaven forbid that ever happen!
