What's the best level/map to train people a little bit?
I've started training all of my guys a little bit and then running that character through their campains. I'm trying to find a good scenario in the free mode that will work well for lvl 1 characters.
Personally, I would recommend the "Yellow Turban Rebellion" (in the Ji Province if I am not mistaken). Make sure to check out which Yellow Turban Officers have sub-officers under them (there are a lot in this level) and defeat each sub-officer before defeating their individual leader. If you defeat the major officer first, all of his sub-officers will retreat to the nearest gate and leave the game. You will lose the potential to gain experience from them. Make sure you take out Jiang Jiao last (chances are he will flee before you can - if you take out the last three gate guards in the castle before facing him). The more officers you take out by using the different charge manuevers, the more experience both for your officer and their weapon will you aquire. Yellow Turban Rebellion in my opinion offers the most potential KO's and officers to defeat for "training" purposes on whatever character you are using. Let me know if this helps you any.
