Grrrrrr (bears)

Probably the funniest meta-moment of watching this movie for me was when the bear family first showed up. I was watching with my roommate and he started cracking up when they first appeared and I asked him what was so funny. Apparently there's a guy in his major who is a fan of bears and has an awesome tattoo of a bear paw with a rainbow behind it on his shoulder >_< Now I really want to see the tattoo :p

That whole scene was so perfect - Chris Isaak's reaction shots, the ridiculous kiddie song playing in the background - I actually had that kiddie-record when I was six, and was very pleasantly shocked to hear it pop up again. Papa Bear's growl almost made me spit up what I was drinking, it was so funny.

2014 EDIT - I also loved the earlier shot with Silvia being growled at and woofed by all three. I would've loved it if I had that happen when I was moving into my neighborhood.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

The bear family completely had me laughing. Loved the perfect stereotype!

if he was a real bear he would have the bear flag tattooed and not the rainbow flag.

reply

I haven't hung out with bears in years and I never noticed the bear tattoo.

Please do describe if you would be so kind.

Also, I believe they are real bears

In the DVD extras, one of the bears and the cub mentioned that they are a couple.
