Do you think anyone likes this 'film?'

I have never seen a (real) positive review for this film, and I've read them on Netfix, Amazon, and IMDb. For most *beep* movies it seems like there is a least one person who likes it. Do you think there is anyone out there who likes Ben and Arthur, and if not do you think anyone ever could like it?

I don't know, I doubt there's anything about the film anyone could like unironically. I don't think it matters, though. I genuinely enjoy watching this every now and then for some really hearty laughs. I start laughing right from the piano tinkling in the opening credits and pretty much don't stop until the end. That's solid entertainment.

I love watching this movie too.

The closest thing I've ever seen to someone saying they genuinely like it is the people who accidentally recommend it. http://www.imdb.com/list/StRWh6NWH6c/ http://www.imdb.com/list/TpIj1zYJeqY/ http://www.imdb.com/list/1M0PKtGtuPQ/

It depends on one's definition of the word "like". My excuse for having actively volunteered to watch it all the way through more than twice is because it's a fascinating piece of work in its sublime awfulness. So much so that there's something...kind of charming about it.

It doesn't make sense. That's who makes sense.

You may have heard that liking a movie is subjective. That's true, but common sense is a factor too. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can say this movie is well-made. That's a fact. Could anyone like it for real and not as a "so-bad-it's-good" movie? No. While there are people who choose to ignore technical quality in order to be entertained, the flaws here are too obvious to ignore.
