As Far As I Am Concerned, Whoopi Can Do No Wrong

I just don't understand all you who have been slamming "Whoopi" and cheering the fact that the show has been cancelled. You are probably the same type of people that actually think that dreck like "Yes, Dear" and "King of Queens" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Happy Family" and all the other run-of-the-mill studio-churned-out sitcoms are good.

I LOVED the show "Whoopi". It was the ONLY network show that I watched last season. I don't watch TV much because I can't stand all the crappy usual sitcoms that are on; I stick to the specialty cable shows instead. "Whoopi" was the first network show in 6 years that my wife and I agreed was good, and we have very high and differing standards. Finally, here was a show that: a) was NOT about a family, like every other stupid sitcom on TV; b) had a couple that was not only interracial but also interpolitical and inter-intellectual; c) was not afraid to tackle political issues and be politically incorrect; d) had a supporting character who was Arabian and good-hearted toward Americans (not all Arabs are anti-American; it was nice to see a TV show that illustrated this); e) had a second supporting character who was eastern European; f) had a third supporting character who was Asian-American; g) had Whoopi Goldberg (who is the best comedienne ever, as far as I am concerned, and she is not just some flash-in-the-pan actress just starting out; h) that I envisioned did not need to have a "Please applaud" sign in front of its studio audience (it was THAT funny).

You people who panned the show are pathetic -- almost as bad as the studio execs who pulled the plug on it. Why don't you wake up and realize that there is more to life than stupid canned shows that just keep recycling the same jokes year after year, decade after decade.

I loved Whoopi Goldberg and I love this show. This show made fun of things that I don't think other sitcoms would even dare make fun of.

I'm human and I need to be loved.
