Unit 01 vs Rah, Angels vs Dolem
Opinions on the series aside...
Who would win in a fight? Shinji & Unit 01 or Ayota and RahXePhon?
and whose designs do you prefer, the angels or dolem?

Rah would win unless Yui went all uber-God-Eva on it, and then there's no force in the cosmos that could stop her. And since the Dolems were based - to some extent - on the Angels designs, I'll take the originals.

There's not much similarity between the Angels and the Dolem. I think it would depend on which Dolem and Angel were fighting each other. There's this game called Super Robot Wars MX where you actually have the RahXephon and Eva unit 01 fighting together against Dolem.
I think in a fight between an Angel and Dolem of about the same size, the Angel would probably win due to its AT field and the fact that the Dolem are sort of remote-controlled/piloted things rather than the Angels who are acting of their own will. The large Dolem called Largo would probably destroy most of the angels with its death rays.
As for who's stronger of the RahXephon and Unit 01, I'd say neither would be able to kill each other even in berserk mode, except if the RahXephon goes into "true" form - then it can basically reshape its surroundings at will and everything not part of the song gets destroyed. It's a bit like the Über-Rei/Lillith in that respect.
Lillith would kill them all.
