I think Pauley is right about the 2 issues

Didn't know the producer died. It was probably a totally different environment after.

Seems as though she's an idiot. I won't miss her or her character. Tired of seeing a grown woman, pushing fifty, dressing and behaving like a child. Also, all those annoying hugging assaults should have earned Abby a session in workplace behavior training.

reply

agree it felt so over the top and forced but the new character that has replaced her they are doing stupid stuff with her as well so another annoying person has replaced her.

Pauley is a big drama queen its so clear to see and people that are buying into all this talk about her being scared of this or that with so called others treating her bad are gullible idiots if those things went on then you leave it's not like she is hard up.

Abby was getting old both age wise and her behaviour. The character should have been allowed to mature over time. The new Abby is trying very hard, too hard to be the same quirky idiot but lacks any warmth. She is just annoying.

reply

Agreed. I don't care if she is supposed to be some kind of expert, she should still realize she is at work and not dress like it's a Goth club.

Pauley Perrette: "I am terrified" of former NCIS co-star Mark Harmon "attacking me"

https://www.eonline.com/news/1047911/pauley-perrette-says-she-is-terrified-of-ncis-co-star-mark-harmon-attacking-her

Perrette seemed to confirm rumors of her 2018 departure from NCIS after 15 seasons in a series of tweets this morning. Responding to fans urging her to reprise her Abby Sciuto role on NCIS, Perrette tweeted: "NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it. I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it!" Perrette recently returned to CBS to star in the sitcom Broke next season. Shortly before her final episode aired in May 2018, Perrette alluded to "multiple physical assaults" leading to her exit. The Wrap reported that she was referring to a 2016 incident in which a Harmon's dog bit a crew member, requiring 15 stitches. Perrette objected to the dog's return to set, The Wrap reported, which led to tension with Harmon and them filming their scenes apart. In a follow-up tweet this morning, Perrette posted images of a crew member's injury: "You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong," she tweeted. "THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!?and I lost my job." Harmon has yet to respond to Perrette's accusation, while CBS has responded to E! News' request for comment.

It is about time that the truth of this situation became public!

SPOILERS!!!
I just finished watching the last episode of NCIS season 15 where Clay Reeves (shot) and Abby leave. I was shocked! It was so sad. They were two of my favorite characters. Did they leave on there own or were they written off?

Perrette left NCIS under a cloud in 2017 for reasons that neither she, nor the series, delved too deeply into. Although Perrette claimed that it was due to a dog owned by the series lead, she also hinted that sexual harassment was occurring on the set. Either way, Perrette left in a manner that seems to have precluded her character returning to the series in any manner and that ended that portion of her career.

Perrette was then cast as the lead in a CBS sitcom entitled Broke. Unfortunately it wasn’t very funny, and Perrette wasn’t very good in it. The series lasted 13 episodes and it was cancelled before the end of its season. Perrette announced her “retirement” from acting six weeks after the cancellation and she has yet to return to the small screen.

Outside observations: Perrette is 52 years old as of 2021. She’s had two major roles in her acting career; one of which she quit and the other which was a bomb. She’s never been a major draw in films and she has no theater experience of consequence. Her role as Abby in NCIS was probably the best role that she was ever going to obtain, and she seems to have either forgotten that, or thought something different. It’s clear that she misjudged her popularity.

Additionally, whatever her problems with the NCIS franchise were, she should have realized that either a dignified departure or a transfer over to the upcoming NCIS: New Orleans (ironically, her hometown) would been better career moves than what happened. While it may be unfair how she was treated by the program following her leaving, the NCIS franchise has made CBS hundreds of millions of dollars and so her being ostracized shouldn’t have been unexpected, especially by someone who had been on television for more than 20 years.
