Humor

One of the things I really like about this series is the humor that is included, especially between DiNozzo and McGee. Crime fighting series need something to lessen the suspense.

Which is why the show nose dives once DiNozzo leaves.

Same with Chicago PD. The first 3-4 years had a lot of camaraderie and humor between the officers. Now it's all tension and how grim the crime is.

And I don't want to be all-in on Michael Weatherly but he held a place on NCIS they are having a hard time replacing, esp with Harmon getting a bit older. I thought I liked Wickersham, but things haven't really taken off with her on the cast.
And Esposito disappeared. For a while the show seemed like a rock of returning cast members. Now it's a carousel.

The cast really don't have any chemistry at all now. I can see on Bull that it isn't Michael himself it was the combination of DiNozzo, Probie and Gibbs that made the show what it was. Abby and the Doc were also vital in that.

Now you have Probie as a senior which he just doesn't have the screen presence or seriousness for he is actually lost in the influx of new people. The new Abby is really weak and lacks the sex appeal of original Abby. She also just tries way too hard. There isn't any warmth there.

I don't know or care about the new people. I thought Wickersham was cute and still is but there is nothing there, they can't be bothered with her character. The Hispanic guy looks out of place as did Esposito who looked like a mother playing detective.

I think the writing has become bad with Chicago PD and Fire, I don't watch Med. We see the same stories over and over again I think it is time they just ended them.

I wish that Probie was the same character that Sean Murray played in JAG. It would have shown a strong sense of character development to go from being a troublemaker to a senior.

This article got me thinking about it: https://popcultmaster.com/2018/04/18/not-completely-irrespective-stats/
