@ least they get a farewell episode, alot of shows don't even get that

Three years is a good run for a show of this kind, so I'm not really surprised it's over and done with.

And if you think online petitions are and Yahoo groups do any good in getting a TV show on the air, off the air, released to DVD, etc. you're living in a dream world.

Fan support got roswell back on the air and it also got the disney cartoon kim possible another season.

According to Wikipedia, this show may have been canceled due to The Discovery Channel deciding that they wanted to go back to their roots(how they were in the past years with almost entirely history and science-related programs).

that's pretty funny considering that they now (and at the time of your post) had shows like It Takes a Thief an Dirty Jobs.
