Sheng I have been following his career for years. It's just not right that they turned him away. He is a much tighter comic than Dominique in my opinion.
I actually agree with you. Even though I don't think Taylor was good enough to win, I liked her a lot more than Michael Palascak. I'd add Joe List to the top 5 too, as I would rather have kept him and Clayton, and gotten rid of literally any of the other four.
I am glad Clayton English won, given who the top 5 were. However, I was disappointed with the top 5 overall. The finale seemed like a competition that was over before it started. I think Sheng Wang and Joe List could have actually given Clayton a challenge.

I felt they were both top 5 material. In my eyes the only thing holding back Taylor from Hollywood success is being a Christian.
Today, if a movie character is Christian they are written off as crazy. Meanwhile a monk is in touch with nature and a Jew is right about everything and funny. There's substantial negativity in the entertainment world toward Christians and so to be taken seriously as a comic it's not a label one can carry.
If she were Jewish and got her start performing stand-up at synagogues, what do you want to bet they wouldn't have her in the top 5?

That didn't bother me at all. I found her jokes incredibly unfunny and even somewhat annoying.
