Awful Show

I got drawn into a bank robbery/hostage scenario episode and out of pure curiosity I decided to watch to the end. Absolutely appalling.

I refuse to believe in law enforcement, situations exist where so called superiors look to out do the other with male bravado and shows of masculinity aimed to decide which between the pair have the largest set of testicles.

Villains so cliche that they instantly go to the predictable lengths, conveniently described as them being "amateur" bank robbers.

Are we supposed to believe that the characters name carries such significance that with every mention of her we are meant to pause in awe? And of course despite her apparent inexperience is better versed in application of law and is capable of handling situations outwith her area of expertise. I know there is suspension of belief but this asked me to check my brain by the door.

Granted I'm watching this at 1am in the UK, but I can see why it was relegated to the dead zone of television. Utterly awful.

Actually, this show received very high marks from critics. The awful time slot is what killed it.

I don't have an opinion. The word "opinion" implies the possibility I'm wrong.

We could start with sentences, but never mind about that.

In essence I am almost dumbstruck by the bizarre contribution from liberty2574. I have to wonder whether this person was watching the same tv show as me. The comments make little sense.

Why does watching the show "at 1am in the UK" make any difference? - unless because perhaps the extra phrase "and I'm a bit drunk too" was omitted.

I'm in the UK. It's nearly 1am here right now. And I've drunk a glass of wine. But I think I can tell that the show is looking good so far. We are given sufficient character develoment and suspense, plus a bit of cop drama and action. There is some contrivance, but this is tv, gang! Let's be entertained.

Oh and did you notice that it's Carla Gugino in the lead role? Woo!

And Robert Forster was her dad. Woo!
