The Girl's Reflection

What was with the girl's reflection in the window at the end of the RIAA episode?

reply

I think that was someone who the consultant has been thinking about. He must have had a vision of her. In the first episode on the train he seems to be preoccupied about something. Probably her.

A little foreshadowing. I'm sure she'll be revealed in future episodes.

It was the prostitute who married his father, no?

reply

Yes indeed, and you eventually learn why she is bugging him in his memory so much. Makes this Tommy Flannegan a very un-likeable guy. But I guess I didn't catch that she was prostitute originally, but you could be right. I'll have to watch this series again to catch all that I missed.

well in a court of law i would not say she was a prostitute because i do not
think i could prove in based on what i saw in the show and how it skipped around
and fuzzed the plot.

certain things that happened, dad asking to borrow 10 thousand dollars from his
son.

flannagan was not a likeable guy, but who was, and who is in this system we have
set up. the object is not to create likeable guys, except the image of likeable
guys who tell you what you government is going to do to you. as for the rest of
us, the government, business and religion seems to really not want people to be
likeable, because then government, business and religion have to get between
people and their relationships to each other giving them information, power,
and control to maintain the status quo.

It was the "Lady in Red" (that the show described her as) who married Tommy's father. Tommy had been having an affair with her before that so he had been having visions of her every now and then and it was messing him up. Every episode where she appears in the background is supposed to take place after the episode where they were in New York together. That episode in New York was a flashback and explained why Tommy was having problems and seeing her everywhere.
