I used to love this show, but to be honest, on rewatch, I don't think the writing or characters is/are particularly well written. The writing was cheesy and not as intelligent or complex as it should have been (ex: Eliza's project Dollhouse) But I love the concept and the ideas and possibilities for it.

I love the Life (Tru) vs Death (Jack) and am wondering if any of you can recommend another tv show or book with the fight of Life vs Death. A google search for it turned up nothing but a lot of Twilight. Thanks in advance for your help!

Don't know if you remember, but you asked a similar question four years ago :-)

Anyway, there're not many shows that deal with life vs death but these are some time-travel related shows that I recommend: Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Flashforward, Sliders (alt dimensions). The Flash, a current show also deals with time travel/ alt dimensions.

Haha, no I don't remember! It sure sounds like me though :-P I must be memorable then.

Thanks, but the life vs death thing really interests me. Even if it's in metaphor form. I can't really do time travel movies. Too much of a scientist with the knowledge that time is an artificial construct in a lot of ways and it only exists in a straight line because that's how we learn it. I know, you're supposed to suspend disbelief anyway haha ... I just can't get past it. I'm all for alternate universes, though.

The thread is called 'similar stories' if you want to check it out. It rang a bell when you posted this one. It's still on the first page! I also looked back a few pages and realised you also wrote another thread two years ago with a similar question, titled, "Other shows/movies about Life vs Death?? Please help!" :-D

I think there's a lot of overlapping between alt dimensions and time travel. Because when you time travel you create new dimensions. That's why I love them both!

I'm real when it's useful.
