I Wouldn't Eat Anything She Cooked . . .

. . . Now don't get me wrong; I think a lot of her recipes look good and I've even made some and they've turned out wonderful so I do believe she's a good cook. However, I've seen her too many times taste food off of her fingers and then she goes and starts touching other food without even washing her hands. That is digusting. And I also find a litte unsettling the fact that she, at times, leaves her hair down while she's cooking. That is very unappetizing. You just know some of that hair is falling off into the food. I could just picture eating Giada's food and finding a long, dirty hair in it. Yuck!!

I think it's charming. Nor do I recall my mom putting her hair up when she was cooking. I'd be honored to eat anything Giada cooked for me.

I expect you don't go to any restaurants then? Do you think that the chefs will have time to wash their hands when they are behind on orders?

reply

Right because nothing is more exciting than watching Giada wash her hands every 5 minutes.......

She's not the only one, it's a food tv bad hygiene epidemic! Paula Deene is the worst finger-in-mouth-then-back-in-food offender of all time. Ina Garten comes in a close second. I would have serious reservations about eating any food prepared by these chefs in real life, but hey, the chances of that happening are pretty much zero so... :)

I say you are totally incorrect about that one. Paula and Ina are two of the best at educating the dangers of cross contamination into their shows. Never once have I seen Paula handle raw meats when she didn't wash her hands and explain the importance of the process.

Chef touch food all the time people, it is how they determine the wellness of meats. Fingers in the food is also considered to be an accepted part of tasting as long as the food is still being cooked. A finger is considered cleaner than a tasting spoon and the bacteria would be destroyed by the cooking process.

Yep, I wish that damn director would have just put the camera on her and left it there. I liked watching HER not quick cuts of food.

This show is on in the daytime when ki

reply

Yeah, maybe she should dress like traditional Muslim women do. Have to cover her face, too, because she's beautiful and that might make the little kiddies think of S-E-X!
