Trump's connection

Is Trump still connected to this show in any way? I thought NBC cut ties with him completely back when he called Mexican immigrants "rapists and murderers". Is that still the case? Or is Trump somehow connected to this show again?

He's credited as the executive producer.

I read that as a producer, he's being paid in the "five figure" range. Of course he's under no obligation, moral or otherwise, to do so, but it would be nice if he donated that salary to the winner's charity.

reply

Except he didn't call Mexican immigrants "rapists and murderers".

He said some ILLEGAL Mexican immigrants sneaking in are.

But you know that don't you.

They forget what doesn't fit their agenda.

Also, he wasn't fired by NBC, who he didn't work for in the first place. He had to quit doing the show due to running for President. He couldn't run and host, equal time laws.

And this season is horrible. I turned it off 20 minutes in.

You can't determine the entire season is "horrible" after only watching 20 minutes of the first episode.

Actually, Trump said some were "rapist and murders" and he is right. You really need understanding and reading comprehension skills.

The OP didn't say ALL Mexican immigrants. I doubt he meant ALL, either, as opposed to SOME, which five other posters were quick to point out.
Maybe you five could qualify/edit/explain how his "grabbing pussy" remark isn't offensive.
I'm a conservative that neither supports nor remotely trusts Clinton. I do realize, though, that 40% of eligible U.S. voters abstained this year, and that almost three million more voters chose Clinton over Trump, which makes Trump a somewhat unpopular president that a lot of Americans won't support. I also realize that I'm not going to change anyone's opinion on a message board. No good will come of continued heated arguments about Trump, as tempting as engaging in those arguments may be.
Regardless of how I personally feel about the man, he's the leader of my country now. I wish everyone could just move on from there.
I wish there was some little space I could visit on the internet that didn't turn into a Trump vs. Everyone Else battleground.

The OP also did not say some Mexicans. He/She made what appeared to be a blanket statement either on purpose or out of ignorance. I do not condone what Trump said in regards toward women's privates. However, this does not disqualified one from the office of President. Especially comments made from long ago. Making derogatory statements like the one he made doesn't mean it was actually put into action. We had 12 women who had every opportunity to bring him to court. But they didn't and these women had all of the sudden disappeared after the election and no one was paid off. There was a time (and this includes many men whether they admit it or not)I have said stupid and regrettable things for the appearance of trying be macho but never did anything I actually said. In fact, there isn't a single person who ran for President who didn't say stupid things. I also did not want to fight about Trump but the OP made a statement and probably assumed many were just going to coming in and hop on his/her bandwagon. I also wish I could go a place where politics were not involved but our media and many other outlets can't seem to let the election results go. Have a good day.

What in the world does that have to do with anything? And is there anyone who said it wasn't offensive? At the end of the day, that was a statement he made in a private one-on-one conversation with someone that was illegally leaked out. That he wasn't ultimately judged about a remark made in a private conversation years before he was a politician shows how mature the American people have become. They voted for him based on his proposals that would affect them. That shows maturity as an American citizen/ voter.

It's already been stated, but I'll add to the list, he never said that.

Relax, all right? My old man is a TV repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it!

First he referred to ILLEGALS. That takes too much brain power to comprehend though. Also the number one critic of that quote, by a latin male, was later accused of rape.

Here's the original quote:

"The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.

Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people.

It’s coming from more than Mexico.
It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably— probably— from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast."

Let me remind everyone that in 1980 CAstro literally emptied his prisons and insane asylums onto the US and we took every one. The murder rate doubled over night.

They came over in such large amounts they changed the law by voting in all their people in congress and as mayors and police chiefs and everything else so that we have to take every cuban that washes up on shore. This past year alone we got 60,000, that's one year alone. Meanwhile everyone left Miami b/c you had to learn spanish to get a job, the wealth disparity became number one of all big cities in US. Cubans are number one in medicare fraud, worst in traffic. They can be rapists and murderers and swim over here and instantly are handed a green card and food stamps and jobs with their cousins. Crime in Miami is through the roof, traffic, stray animals, noise pollution with their worse crappy blaring music possible. And it's all coming to a neighborhood near you, tomorrow's america. Miami used to be a great city that opened it's arms to everyone. All that is gone and the cubans don't care about the blacks or the mexcians or anyone else. They don't have american values or come from a middle class democracy. They are used to corruption, it's all they know.

So yeah, Trump's quote is 1000000 percent accurate except dumb ignorant self-loathing snow flakes wouldn't know it.
