The "locations" section mentions that this was partly filmed in Connecticut,
but does anyone know if some of the prep school scenes were filmed
at Avon Old Farms school in Avon, CT? My brother went there in
the 80's and it sure looks like it, but I was just wondering if

Yes, as I was watching it, I said, "That's Avon Old Farms!" So I waited for the end of the credits. It said something like "Thanks to Avon Old Farms School and Avon Old Farms Inn."
I think that place was a lot more stuffy in the 80's. I can hardly believe they allowed them to film this movie in their prestigious school.

AOF is more just a jock school, far from stuffy. Campus just looks prestigious from the outside lol
Supposedly AOF turned down Dead Poets Society in the 80s, no idea why this softcore crap got approved in 2005. Maybe because Kevin Costner had some producer role apparently hehe

yup they did turn down Dead Poets Society, which sucks because i would love to say I attended the school in which that great movie was filmed...unfortunatly i have to say i attended the school in which this *beep* movie was filmed
