Unicorns?

I love this film, but I have never understood the scene when Peter walks into Kate's house and finds it's full of unicorns. Was this scene supposed to be funny or does it show something about her character?

Films themselves are insubstantial. Your experience encountering a film is the film itself.

I think it shows a bit of her personal side, as opposed to the hard-and-tough lawyer persona she has to put on for work.

That being said, the way he just opened the door and walked into her house was just stupid, who does that?

Just shows that she's got an out there aspect of her personality in the same way as all the other team members.

I really liked Christine Taylor in the part.

What he said. They were all misfits and nerds. The female equivalent is a girl who loves glitter and pink and unicorns and stuffed animals.

I helped show that she belonged with them.

Unicorns are the symbols of New Age Mysticism. They're not just collector's items.

Yes, it's supposed to signify that she isn't a lesbian, because she has a deep-seated love of . . . unicorns.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
