The horrific octopus scene.

I don't agree with it at all, the dish in itself, even if it is authentic is flat out animal torture, but what he did with the live octopus is even worse, 4 octopuses died making that scene and I don't think it's valid at all. This should not be tolerated in any way.

reply

Eating alive octopuses is common practice in korea.

reply

And what do you think you are you going to do about it?

reply

Do you think the octopus kills it's prey before it eats it?

reply

What is your point?

reply

Point is shut up. Animals on lower end of food chain get eaten by animals above them.
Get over yourself.

reply

Well said.

reply

Do you think a lion wouldn't eat concering of humen rights !!

this is not about eating octopus, this is about unnecessarily torturing an animal for the sake of a movie.

you're my hero.

You're right, LetThemEatCake. Unfortunately, as you've experienced here already, you'll get many moron replies. They think it's "cool" to not care or something equally stupid.

BTW, they torture dogs and cats there in South Korea in some of the worst ways imaginable. Regardless of whether one eats meat or not (I don't), it's always right to speak out against animal torture/abuse. Only losers defend it.

ikr :/
What's worse is in the new documentary "Old Days" by Plain Archive, it shows footage of the actors and director laughing their asses off as it's happening.

Hopefully the don't feel pain like mammals do. I know fish are supposed to not feel pain, at least in the way we do.

reply

That is absolutely disgusting, and unfortunately they do feel pain.
