Wow. Seriously, as soon they were adults, the movie got better and better, until a really masterly climax. They were just so annoying as kids.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. For at least the first half of the movie, I was thinking: "THIS is why I hate French films. I'd much rather be re-watching one of Julio Medem's films instead of this". But after that point, I really enjoyed the movie.
