Ok basically, the crazy woman films the girl in jail and tries to blackmail the cop into sleeping with her. The cop instead stabs her and she instantly randomly dies.
He then gets the stripper and says she gets one wish, she wishes to be free. He takes out his doll set and acts out his dad killing his mum because his mum asked his dad to free her.
He doesn't kill her for some reason, instead puts her in his boot, opens it at the waterfront when she punches him in the head, he then falls un-concious but somehow closes the boot and brakes the key in the boot of the car. The other good cop guy arrives and dives under the water where he mysteriously opens the boot- defying the laws of physics and many other laws i am sure. She then gets out but the good cop is stabbed, again randomly by the bad cop who has unsuprisingly awoken, she grabs a gun though and shoots him, then makes out with him, then shoots him again twice. The final shot is her driving home in a coach after having lost a year of her life to that random jail thing under his house...

I wish that were not the films ending but it is a poor ending to a poor film.

I enjoyed the film, too! Dennis was great! It was a small film, but held my interest till the end.

Not so mysterious...my car (and I'm sure many others) has a button on the driver's door, next to the power window control, which pops the trunk (the "boot"). The cop only had to get the door open, which I believe he clearly did.

Good thinking. The writer.

On second thoughts, yes the film was indeed flawless.

reply

Hey, not "flawless", but far from bad. Dennis at the top of his game, Asia quite good, Helen having a romp, Lochlyn believable in a difficult part. Yes, "talkie", but as Dennis said to me, "It's good talk". gs

Dennis would be very happy to hear this. gs

There was way more depth to this role for Hopper, than there was in Speed. I liked him here too.

You shouldn't have killed hopper- would have been far more interesting and unpredictable. the whole film was shot in a way that it looked certain gina would escape. the film could have been saved if this expectation wasnt realised.

Now you tell me! There was talk about a sequel, and the director, Paul Lynch, and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how we could bring Krebs back to life. gs

reply

You could have fun and go over the top de palma style. Put reason aside and make him wake up REALLY pissed off:) Or you could have a funny games style messin with the audience scene and have the last sequence be gina's dream as she's drowning, and let us see hopper have a Bud laughing maniacally while watching her drown, and the annoying younger cop turn up LATE for once, grill Hopper and get nowhere. best of luck regardless.

Hey, Snafu, whose side ya on? Besides, if I didn't put reason aside, ya think I'da become a writer in the first place? gs

reply

Haha good point! I'm on the villain's side in this one, and would love to see you do another so just gave you my 5 cents. Come on, wasn't that bad! If you need any music by the way, give me a shout!!

A director, shooting a script of mine, once called me from location to say "So&So" is such a great actor (which he is) that he wanted me to write a couple of more scenes for him later on in the script. "Great idea!" I told him. Except for one small thing. His Character was already dead by then. Unfortunately, and except for the script, the writer is the last one that has any input into the music, etc. Sorry, but you never know... gs
