What the Heck Happened to Her Husband????

There seems to be no sight nor mention of him at all in this sequel which seems illogical. How can they even make a movie called My wife is a gangster 2 without even mentioning her husband at all?!!! The least they could have done is have him carry on the gang in her absence or something but he's completely missing. This must be one of those low budget thingy again. Duh!

I liked that they didnt explain it. Asian comedies tend to chew everything out and I didnt mind filling in the blank here and assuming that he got tired of her rough ways and got a divorce shortly after. And for some strange reason I liked the sequal better than the first. Maybe because it didnt try too hard to combine drama with comedy.

I don't mind filling in the blanks. In fact, I wholly agree that in a lot of instances, letting the imagination work on its own is a lot more effective than showing everything, like in horror genre. But in this???

Its called My WIFE is a gangster, but the husband is not there at all! And its not because the director wants us to fill in any blanks too. This is a comedy, I don't really think they would actually get a divorce, especially if you've watched the first movie. At the end her husband actually fights along side with her in fights (he carries her scissors to be more precise). But he's nowhere to be seen nor even accounted for in this sequel. I can understand if its called A Female Yakuza or The Kind Yakuza and no mention is made of her husband but for a film called My WIFE is a Gangster??? That's just *beep*

My WIFE is a gangster still applies, since its awfully clear that she has the same kind of relationship with Boss than she had with the stupid one in the first. That's what counts. To think the former husband could have carried on the organization is really naive... he wasn't skilled for that, not even close. He was pretty dumb, that's the reason they even picked him. the fact that he went crazy in the last scenes was cool but not enough.
I liked the second part better than the fist, and about the husband, I don't care, I'm actually glad he dissapeared. In the 3rd they should fix her up with Jinga.

They did mention that she was married in the second film. Her husband was indeed a real cluts in the first film. But I think that's what made it so fun and funny.

Kind of a goofy title but who cares, I still liked it more than the 1st.

I think I remember the husband running off into the rain saying, "Miscarriage... miscarriage!!"

Man they went Hollywood on this so bad. Like kill the husband and make no mention. No one will notice. Lol. I was expecting him to jump out of the buildings or something. But instead we get some retarded story with nothing more than a kick to the face. I loved the first but this sequel has to be one of the worst movies i have ever seen.

It is very simple really, her husband in Wife is gangster II is the fat guy who takes pictures of her thru the entire movie, by the way he gets pissed off when he sees her with another man and with Sheri (when Sheri is licking her finger in the cashier), like she betrayed him or something. That's her husband alright.

About the title, well, maybe in korean it has other possible meanings.

reply

yeah it seemed like the Camera guy and the Restaurant guy were sort of the two sides of her husband from the first
