I read online that the Kindred Media Group was planning to release Jailbait in April 2006. Welp, April has come and gone for the most part. Does anyone know of the new release date, or what happened?

I was looking on their web site and they said something about releasing it and then shortly thereafter there would be a dvd release. My guess is it opened in New York and LA and that was about it. I'm hoping that it's out on DVD by the end of the year.

Jailbait is listed...so hopefully that's a good sign.

I heard it's supposed to be released in theaters in New York in July. I think it's supposed to come out in Los Angeles and 10-15 other cities sometime in August. I saw it at a film festival over a year ago. It's incredible! I just wrote a small review about it for this site. It's one of the best, most powerful, memorable independent films I've seen in years. Great acting, writing, directing. It transports you into this very personal, claustrophobic, intimate world of a prison cell for almost the entire movie. Really beauitiful and funny and disturbing all at the same time. Great performances also. It's the best Michael Pitt has ever been I think. In this film and probably 'Last Days.' I strongly recommend it!

is this going to be released in los angeles and any other markets? does anybody know? i saw it at tribeca film festival. it's really great. it's funny and dark and powerful. it leaves you very affected and moved. does anybody know what theater here in New York it will be in? and on what date? i'll definitely see it again.

It's currently playing in Washington, DC at the AMC Loews Dupont Circle theatre.

Movie was in NY last week, and in Philly this week. It will also run in Austin, LA, San Fran, and Chicago. The DVD will come out on Warner Bros. in the end of October..beginning of November.

urgh! I dont know why your complaining all the good indepoendent movies come from up there we're the ones who have to wait, yall* have the damn studio down the *beep* street!

well, I called The Grande/Laemmle in Los Angeles and the chick who answered the phone said that they have the poster up, but they probably won't get this film. Lame! So very lame. Was so looking forward to seeing this. Why would it be listed as being released there on the 18th if they manager doesn't expect to be showing it? Why, God, why?

Anyway, if anyone in LA has any info on where this film is definitely showing, please let me know. Would rather not have to haul buns (rather large buns at that) to Palm Springs.

Damn. I had to drive to Dallas to see 'Breakfast on Pluto', but... There's no way I'm going to Austin. Maybe I should just bug my local theater, again, and hope for the best. I 'know' there's no way it's coming to Oklahoma on it's own...
