A question about Ju-On (spoilers)

I finally saw Ju-On yesterday on cable, and I thought it was hella scarier than The Grudge (although I thought The Grudge was scary also). Anyway, I had a question about certain parts, and I'm hoping someone can help me.

Right before Toyama goes into the house, they show a girl in bed, and Toshio and Kayako appear next to her. I thought it was Rika, and that they had killed her, because in a couple of scenes later, they show a news report that states Rika was missing and a body was found or something (in the grown-up Izumi's segment). However, Rika appears again at the end of the film, apparently years after her first encounter with the house. Was that indeed Rika in that bedroom scene? If it was, was it just a dream or something? I'm confused. Hopefully someone will be able to answer my question.

I figured that was Rika. I figured they were just tormenting her because they flash back to that sequence at the end when she does die. Thanks for your help.

Yes that was Rika in the bed with Toshio and Kayaho. She appears later in the film because the stories are told out of sequence. The Izumi scene happened last chronologically, years after the other stories. The later Rika scene happened not too long after her first experience at the house, and after the scene of her in bed with the two ghosts. She did not die in that scene in the bed.

Here's what's puzzling me: the two policemen mention the fact that Rika was found dead. But later when you see her die, it happens in that house. So i presume that's where her body was found, but the policemen never mention that. Wouldn't it have been very strange to them that her body was found back in that house?

I thought that the final sequence with Rika happened right around the same time as the one with Izumi? At least that's what I figured, because during her first encounter, her friend says something about being late for school, and then in the finale, she's a teacher. Or maybe she was a teacher all along, and she was late teaching classes or something. Maybe I've got this completely wrong.

In a scene where Izumi is child she (I think) is watching a T.V. The reporter on the reporter on the T.V. says Rika's body was found in the roof of the house. So Rika's death would have been around the same time as Toyama's.

Rika's death is close to the time of Izumi's. Rika is considerably older in the final sequence than she was in the opening sequence - clearly years have passed.
