What are the conditions of Ju-on?

I have seen Ju-on 1 and The Grudge 1 and 2 and just saw Ju-on white ghost/black ghost. Sorry, I can't keep all the titles straight. I guess what bugs me about the ju-on franchise are the conditions of ju-on were not established and then it establishes new conditions to the point it is getting out of hand. Apparently, there is no way to stop ju-on. What's next? Ju-on conquers the world? The ghosts video call you on an iPhone? There needs to be a way to stop it and release the curse and the ghosts. Is there a way to stop it? Maybe I missed it.

Or how do the ghosts physically attack you? Can they just attack you anywhere or leave mysterious supernatural objects that eventually get you?

What other ju-on conditions are there and what new ju-on conditions were introduced? Do you want to limit the ju-on conditions and powers? Which ones are relevant?

In Ju-on: The Grudge movie:
Ju-on is "the curse of one who dies in a powerful rage. It gathers and takes effect in the places where that person was alive. Those who encounter its energy die, and a new curse is born."

The ghosts of the people with ju-on cannot find peace and remain on earth to re-enact their deaths and gather new victims.

Ju-on is told in a non-linear sequence with events that took place recently, such as the day before, or took place years before.

Ju-on leaves clues using photographs.

Ju-on has an effect on animals.

Ju-on can affect cell phones and communicate through them.

There isn't an effective way to stop it.

Ju-on sounds like a noise make from a cat.

A crazy or feeble-minded person can see the ghost while others can't.

Ju-on ghosts can only attack you in the house.

Every person that lived in the cursed house died or disappeared.

I kind of understand this. I watched the one with all the school girls dying and, in the end, everyone was dead but it was never quite explained how to stop thee ghosts from killing or moving on to kill again .... so there is no hope?
Guess I just find it pointless to watch when you know there is no stopping mechanism.

I think the idea was that the curse is unstoppable and can spread like a plague, potentially wiping out humanity. Doesn't bother me (unless it happens in real life). It's one of the things I really liked about the Ju-on series. There is no hope. Only terror and death.

The ghosts killed or abducted people outside the house in all the films. Haven't seen Black Ghost/White Ghost yet, so idk what happened. And it wasn't just people who lived in or visited the house that were attacked. Many died just because they had some connection (major or minor) to someone who had been in the house.

Thit and thpin!

It reminds me of the many American "Amityville Horror" stories. Both Amityville and Ju-On center around a haunted house that has a curse that can possess those who spend any time in it. So you've got both haunting and possession to deal with.
