Death locations

I meant to post this here I guess I replied to another post instead. I'd figure that whoever entered the house would die in the house where the ghosts are, not someplace else. Like Hitamo in the apt. and the cop there, the guy at work, the teenage girl. Just wondering. How'd it find people?
