Future

This product obviously made it be in the future. Why dont they have futuristic stuff. Come on they should see Minority Report.

It was pure fiction. The cars shown when Alan was 50 were from about the same era as when he was 10. They made an artistic decision to avoid placing anything to a specific time period, and I thought it was a good one. That way they could focus on the story and avoid making it a sci-fi thriller like Minority Report.

I read an interview with the director and he said it wasn't the future, it was, "imaginary present."

I'd say alternative present or retro-futurism done lightly. I liked the world it was set in. I am not sure why it had to have modern or whatever real future elements should be.
