Fact Checking?

I watched this film because I am a fan of history and I really enjoyed the beginning which was like a travelogue. I couldn't help but notice a couple of glaring errors in the film and I am quite surprised that they were presented as truth. I was just kind of shaking my head for the rest of the film.

The first error was the notion that the Israelites built the pyramids which we know isn't true.

The second error being that supposedly there was a vote at some time and greek almost become the international language but it lost by one vote. This appears to be an urban myth started in Greece.
