who else could play instead of Angelina Jolie?!

1. Jodie Foster
2. Jennifer Connelly
3. Famke Janssen
4. Halle Berry
5. Kate Beckinsale
6. Charlize Theron
...
and i think any of them could do it better than her.
she is good i am not a hater but i just didnt like Jolie as Illeana.
i'm looking forward to your opinions...

The lead actress had nothing to do with how bad the movie was. It was simply badly-written and directed. I had it figured out in the first 20 minutes and the ending was embarrassingly predictable.

I disagree, she was a terrible actor in some parts. Eg. Outside the lift once she sees him cutting off the mums head and the fake shock falling on the floor etc really bad acting.

Angelina was good in this [and Ethan Hawke better], so from your list, only Jodie Foster would have the chops to maybe do better.

I think that was the point. She was an over-competent work robot, until she met Costa. And then she lost all control, as one would, after a long period of self-repression.

I thought Angelina was ok. But the movie wasn't anything much.
