Who are all those people that showed up at the funeral?

Who are all those old people that showed up at daddy's funeral? I have a theory that they were widows charmed by daddy before his health went downhill, since they all looked to be old women in their 60+ age, and Leo didn't seem to recognize any of them.

My first thought was that they were women with whom Sol had had sex, but thinking about it more I agree with you that they were probably widows charmed by him.

I am watching the director's commentary on the DVD and Peter Riegert says that those women are Sol's dancing partners. Actually he says Leo's dancing partners but I am sure he means Sol's.
