I like it

I played this game three times and every time the game had another process (similar, but different). This game is different from any other in this genre - it will learn you to be afraid of war. You will loose your friends, you will see death around and your brain will remember just the flash and his sound. Very
impressive are night missions, where you will hear only crickets, forests noise and maybe some quiet sound in the distance. This game has obsolete graphics at this time, but the atmosphere is still very interesting.
I have to admit I played it on the easiest difficulty and I had enough work with it.

I agree. Its probably the most realistic war game on the PC. I haven't played it in a while, but i still remember the intensity of the battles. All the explosions and gunfire, its really a memorable game. Plus you're right about the difficulty. I too played it on easy and still found it really hard!

this was the first fps I ever finished start to finish, amazing stuff given how difficult its supposed to be, but it just hooks you on.

By the way, about the dated graphics...in the past few months, there have been some graphical updates released for Flashpoint's engine. One of them is a .dll add-on called DXDLL, which adds better water textures, reflections, and better draw-distance. Just yesterday, three packs were released on http://www.ofpbase.com which replaced the in-game foliage with new high-def/high-poly trees, added in scrub and grass, and also had updated versions of the original three islands. I would suggest checking them out; same great sim, better graphics.
