when you are samonosuke in the oni temple(time folder) you fight against Ranmaru, and it seems as if you know him. just wondering if he is in previous games. i have played 1 and 2 but i dont remember him.

if im right ranmaru was nobunaga's right hand, possibly homosexual and had an affection towards his lord. i heard he was very androgynous but a dangerous samurai. i think i read that he died with nobunaga in hinouji temple when it burned. in the game, Samanosuke's uncle, Mitsuhide Akechi was the one who killed nobunaga.

Yeah, Tyler is right. Ranmaru was the head retainer of the Oda Clan, and it's proven him and Nobunaga had homosexual relationships. Infact, their relationship was respected throughout Japan for how powerful(Wrong word?) it was. Nobunaga often rode into battle with Ranmaru closer than even his highest ranking general, and would also keep him present when important 'company' was around, where typically most would have to remain a respectful distance. (I think it's ten feet, but I may be wrong on that.) Ranmaru was not in the previous games, buy I would assume that Ranmaru would know of Samanoske due to Nobunaga's probable ranting and/or comments about Akechi.
