This seriously needs to be redone...

...and possibly retitled as just Mortal Kombat: The Animated Movie.

I watched Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie and I thought to myself, "Why can't there be an animated Mortal Kombat movie that's as good as or even better than this?"

It should be longer than 30 minutes (somewhere in the range of 90 minutes and 2 hours tops), include swearing, more violent fights (with getting cut, bruising and of course blood, gore and maybe even severed limbs) and can either be all done in American animation or Anime.

In short, an animated mortal Kombat movie for adults with either a PG or R rating.

Characters

Good Side Fighters
-Raiden (leader)
-Liu Kang
-Johnny Cage
-Sonya Blade
-Some other random fighter exclusive to this movie (kind of like Art Lean)

And of course the smaller nameless warriors fighting for Earthrealm

Evil Side Fighters
-Shang Tsung (leader)
-Goro (Shokan Prince and Mortal Kombat Champion who remains undefeated for 500 years)
-Kano
-Reptile (Shang Tsuing's secret protector who may just quickly drop in to give random clues before fights. He would be a human, not a lizard looking creature like he appeared in every MK game after MK4)

And of course the other nameless warriors (some nameless Tarkatan warriors) fighting for Outworld as well as viscous Oni (who hide out in the tunnels in Goro's Lair) Shang Tsung's masked guards (who you may have seen in a couple MK1 arena backgrounds as well as on Shang Tsung's Island and the Wu Shi Academy in MK Shaolin Monks)

Neutral Fighters
-Sub-Zero (Original, real name I think was Bi Han. Just at the tournament try to kill Shang Tsung)
-Scorpion (Real name Hanzo Hasashi. Just at the tournament to kill Sub-Zero and avenge his death)
-Jax (would only have a few scenes in the movie before Sonya get's on the Nethership)
-Kung Lao (Liu Kang's friend from the Wu Shi Academy)
-Baraka (would only have 1 scene in this movie near the end)
-Great Kung Lao (just include flashback scenes of him fighting in the 1st Mortal Kombat Tournament and then getting his ass kicked by Goro and his soul stolen by Shang Tsung)
-Goro's older brother (just include a flashback scene of him getting betrayed and murdered by Goro who became Prince of the Shokan race)
-King Gorbak (Goro's father and King of the Shokan race. Just include him in the flashback scene where Goro betrays and kills his older brother)

Also, just some nameless Black Dragon Thugs, Wu Shi Academy students and teachers, the Lin Kuei Grand Master and ninjas, Special Forces Troops, Hollywood stuntmen and Earthrealm civilians

-The Blue Portal (seen in the Sega Genesis version of Mortal Kombat II where you faced secret bosses, would lead to the Portal arena in Outworld)

Battles

I don't wanna list all battles here, but just ones I'd like to see...

-Goro vs his older brother (flashback fight scene where Goro and his brother fight. Ends with Goro betraying and killing his brother, thus becoming Prince of the Shokan)
-Great Kung Lao vs Goro (flashback fight scene where Goro kicks the [BEEP] out of Great Kung Lao and Shang Tsung steals his soul upon his defeat)
-Sub-Zero vs Scorpion (flashback fight scene where Sub-Zero murders Scorpion)
-Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Sonya vs Sub-Zero
-Sonya vs Kano (The Courtyard)
-Sub-Zero vs 2 of Shang Tsung's masked guards (takes place in the Throne Room)
-Sub-Zero vs Scorpion (starts off in Shang Tsung's Throne Room, but ends at The Pit)
The best way for that fight to end would be that Scorpion either removes his mask and incinerates Sub-Zero or better yet, Scorpion takes out his spear and does the 2-for-1 (as seen in Mortal Kombat II) on Sub-Zero.
-Earthrealm fighter (Art Lean equivalent) vs Goro (Goro's Lair)
-Johnny Cage vs Goro (Goro's Lair)
-Liu Kang or Johnny Cage vs Reptile (The Pit Bottom)
-Liu Kang vs Shang Tsung (starts off in The Throne Room and Shang Tsung get's uppercut and falls through the floor to Goro's Lair below where the fight would continue)

There should maybe be at least 2 sequels (1 based on Mortal Kombat II and 1 based on Mortal Kombat 3/Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3), but I'll get into those in later posts.

Mortal Kombat II: The Animated Movie

Basically, this 1 would pick up right where Mortal Kombat 1 left off (I picture it as Baraka & a gang of Tarkatas kidnapping Sonya & taking her to Outworld similar to what Shang Tsung did with Sonya in the 1st live action Mortal Kombat movie & then Liu Kang, Kung Lao & Johnny Cage go to Outworld while Raiden goes to get Jax).

Like the 1st Mortal Kombat animated movie, be darker, more violent & maybe have a PG or R rating.

Mortal Kombat 3: The Animated Movie

Basically, this 1 would pick up right where Mortal Kombat II left off (I picture it that MK II would end with a portal opening over the Wu-Shi Academy. Random monks fall to the ground & their souls get sucked into the portal just Shao Kahn's soldiers, Sheeva, Ermac, Rain, Sindel, Motaro & Shao Kahn appear). This 1 would have characters from Mortal Kombat 3 as well as various characters from it's 2 upgrades: Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 & Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Again, make this movie dark, violent & have at least a PG or R rating.
