Name of the cake?
I saw the movie the other day, an I was wondering if someone remembers the name of the cake they made at the end of the movie. Something barozzie, and if it's a real cake?

The cake`s name was "borozzi". It looked like some kind of "panettone" (since Marco didn`t want to put any icing on it). As for the name, it`s very possible that it was invented for the film.

I tried to run the info you gave me through google.com, and found out this. There is a chocolate cake called "Torta Barozzi" made without flour.

I watched the the film with subtitles, and the one who translated used the form "borozzi" for the cake`s name, and I see now that it was a wrong one. I also made a search on Google for "borozzi" with no relevant results, since no link that I got had any connection with the art of making sweets. That`s why I thought that the name of the cake was invented for the film!
You were more lucky with the search, learning about the existence of a fine cake, from what I`ve read. So, this is a cake invented by a confectioner from Modena, Italy, and named after a famous architect. It may taste quite similar to Tiramisu (coffee, cocoa, almonds...). I`ll try to make it one day. I suppose that, when it`s baked, it still has a creamy texture.
I'm able to tell all who are interested, that the cake of the film exist and is name is "Torta Barozzi". As they told you on the film, the cake is a registered mark and the way to do it is a secret.
