Ending

Right, all comments that are coming up are related to me (and others maybe) taking this movie at face value and seeing it for what it is - a movie. I thought that it was pretty good, I mean, I let it do its thing and take me on a journey and tell the story and I didn't keep thinking about how false/hypcritical etc. it was (as some people have suggested on this board). Therefore, I really did like this movie. But dear LORD the ending was s***. Really, what on *earth* where they thinking? I so, so, so wanted Melissa just to slap him and tell him to get lost (for a moment she looked like she was about to, but no...stupid woman). But yeah...great movie, crappy ending.

The message at the end of the movie is basily this: a friendly, typical Middle Eastern Arab guy whom you think can not be a cold-blooded terrorist... really is.

And the tagline the Arab terrorist says is: "Don't trust anyone. I could be your next door neighbor!"

While this may be true, it is still part of the propaganda machine.
Not all Arabs are terrorist, but the next door neighbor could be a terrorist, just an American redneck version. We have many terrorist that attack this country, most of them are not from another country, many are doing Al Qaeda's job for them.
An for what it's worth, I agree the ending sucked.

That maybe how you took the ending which I can't argue that point however the movie also pointed out how you can't judge every Arab and call him a terrorist. This is what happened to the old man and he was innocent and he killed himself because of it. It's interesting to make a point how people have joined ISIS without family members even having a clue that they were being radicalized.
