Take A Picture .....

Haven't read every thread or reply, but the oddest thing that struck me in the movie (and there were many) was after Michelle got shot in the library, Elias holds up his camera and takes a picture ..... I know everyone reacts differently, but I was like 'Huh ?'

Van Sant did a good job with filming the movie (with the various shots of scenes from different perspectives), but I have to say that I was underwhelmed by the ending. I guess leaving the viewer unsure whether any of the characters focused on survived was intentional .... but I would've liked to have known if some of them survived and were only injured (the photographer, the jock or his girlfriend, one of the bathroom girls ....especially the one that hid before he even came into the bathroom. The way it ended made a dark movie already darker ..... especially since, in the real Columbine, there were more survivors than dead.

And what did John's father have to do with any of this ? That was another 'huh ?'
