Anybody else intend to finish, but just couldn't?

I got to the Underground level, and I decided to just stop after dying 4 times (ridiculous load-times). I watched the ending on Youtube, and that was kind of funny in a WTF kind of way.

Yeah I had that feeling right around refueling the monster truck for the 3rd time. So boring and tedious.

reply

Yes, so much time spent in that stupid truck!

I forced myself to finish it, despite dying about 20 times on the underwater bit of Underground Part 2. Playing on PC meant the loading times issue wasn't a problem, just the rest of the game that pretty much ruined it.

I never found a jetpack, were there even useable ones in the game?

reply

Yea the swimming part was horrendous

im not sure about the Jetpack, but it seems like there was almost no hidden places like in DN3D

So I am not the only one who had 2 start over 20 bajillion times in certain parts of the game. That's good 2 know. Thought it might have been just me. But I actually had 2 start over 20 bajillon times throughout pretty much the whole game so maybe it is just me. I mean the like the first ten levels were easy. Then it just kept getting harder and harder. Well yeah I know games r supposed 2 get harder as they go on. But this is just ridiculous. Do they make these games extra hard on purpose? Just 2 piss us off and go in 2 conniption fits and make us waste a bajillion hours of our lives trying 2 beat the stupid games or what? I'm not even finished with the game yet. I have 2 more long chapters ahead of me. They r probably gonna be a doozy 2 beat so I better get crackin'. Game ppl.

reply

I think they make it hard just to make it a challenge to take attention away from the crappy game/map design

I haven't bothered to finish it. It's just not that good. The constant dying due to bad collision detection and glitches is annoying enough, the random difficulty curve and the INSANE loading time just make it no fun to bother with.

Might pick it up again at some point... maybe.

I bought this game years ago, and gave up trying to defeat the queen bitch. Tried it again a few times and couldn't do it. and gave up. Just this past week I decided to give it another go and managed to get past it, and from then on it was smooth sailing to the end. Was pretty disappointing and screamed out what needed to be improved, but I felt I had to beat it. Even a stupid game on NES called Battle of Olympus I had an urge about 15 years later to finally go back to it and beat it for the sake of beating it. Another disappointing ending lol
