The old trailers(1998/2001) looks cooler than the game is? I mean there were some bad ass scenes like the terminator,shooting down airplanes etc... so why did we get;
-zero of that
-duke has a EGO bar(which is cool-unliess it wasn't the same as a regaing health bar...)
-Duke can only carry two guns(WTF!!!)
-The guns are the same as in 3D(Which is okay, but couldn't there be ANY new?`as in the old trailers...)
-A checkpoint save system
-Stiff gameplay
-Mashing the space bar EVERY time you wanna get through a collapsed door...

Why wasn't the early builds made avaliable as a bonus? would be cool....

Game trailers often use cut material or the best action sequences to shove their product down people's throats.

True but it still looks awsome and I can swear that the two weapons and the QTE wasn't in it from the start!

The timeline explains it... most of 3D realms walked out on the company and the game they developed was scrapped. Rumour is they took the game with them and are working on a release, perhaps as something other than Duke, but the game we got was most certainly not 14 years of development... it looks more like 6 months max.
