At least Kippy didn't have the HIV. (SPOILER)

One of the most remarkable things about this movie was how it dealt with Kippy's terminal illness. Perhaps it's a bit crass of me to say so, but most of these movies always feel some kind of perverse moral obligation to kill off any homosexual character via HIV, thus forwarding some sort of political agenda. It was refreshing that Kippy met his end from cancer and not from some hamfisted statement about AIDS research or the oppression of gay Americans. Hats off to Kippy, you died like a man and not like a cheap stereotype!

That's mean. But there was though - a gay guy DOES die.
