What happene to WPT?

This show was the best poker show on tv when it was on Tavel Chanel. Espn likes to credit the WSOP with starting the poker boom but WPT is really what got it started.

What happened to this show? 17 networks later I have no idea what channel or what night it's on.

Back in the day it was 2hrs on wed nights was preceeded by an hour show on Vegas, and it kicked butt. Sad how cliche tv producers have ruined all televised poker including the WSOP.

It is on Fox Southwest and several other channels on Verizon. They barely show any poker now, the first half of the show seems to be how the players made it to the final table and the rest is them advertising their website. If you want to watch actual poker, I guess you have to find a local game...

Not surprising that poker on television has been phased out. After black Friday and all that. On top of that, most people can only stomach so many years of watching No limit hold'em on tv. I was an avid viewer of all the programs and I had to stop watching. I needed programs to start showing other games to keep me interested. They tried that on world series broadcasts, but I guess it was too difficult for the mindless simpletons with the attention span of a 3 year old to follow so the ratings weren't there and they reverted back to 100% no limit hold'em.
