I think the series (acting etc) is well done, but find it hard to find Tracy Beaker a good heroine. Her behaviour is selfish, argumentative, arrogant and often downright rude. Why is her behaviour never reprimanded ? The other kids all come across as quite pleasant.
You know what, I was thinking the exact same thing too. I actually did wonder how younger kids are percieving her and is she really a good role model for them. Kids will think this is the right way to behave. Really they should show that her behaviour is sometimes wrong and that she does get told off, but she never seems to.

I can't say I ever looked up to Tracy as a role model when I was younger...
i look at the tracy beaker series as similar to the horrid henry series.
neither of them are good role models, of course, but kids aren't stupid.
they have their own morals and parents to raise them properly, not
fictional characters on a tv screen.
